Get set for a most amazing event in the skies!

On the night of April 14/15 2014, a large portion of the
western hemisphere will get to see a Total Lunar Eclipse.
No one on Earth, has seen such an event, since 2011 and
This eclipse, promises to be a great one, as long as you are
viewing at the correct times and have decent weather!
A Total Lunar Eclipse occurs, when the Earth blocks out
the light that the Moon gets from the Sun.

The event plays out in our skies, as the left edge of the Moon
enters the central shadow of the Earth, known as the Umbra.
The Moon then moves deeper into this shadow and then we
get to see the Moon in the near central part of the Umbral
shadow for 78 minutes….this is totality!

Lunar eclipses are safe, fun and make for a great photo
opportunity for all to take part in…..

To learn all about the details, times, etc. of this rare celestial
event, please look to the great links at the end of this post….

If you miss this event…the next Total Lunar eclipse will
Occur for the western hemisphere, on October 8th 2014…….
